Dashboard

The Varbase admin dashboard provides a centralized starting point for managing your website. It offers quick access to the most commonly used administrative tasks, including content management, media library, and site configuration.

Accessing the Dashboard

Navigate to /admin/dashboard in your browser, or click Dashboard in the admin navigation sidebar. The dashboard is the default landing page after logging in for most administrative roles.

Dashboard Overview

The Varbase dashboard is designed to give you an at-a-glance view of your site's status and provide shortcuts to common tasks. Depending on your site's configuration, the dashboard may include:

  • Content Overview: Quick links to create new content, view recent content, and manage existing pages.

  • Media Overview: Access to the Media Library for browsing and uploading media assets.

  • Site Status: Summary of the site's health, including any warnings or errors that need attention.

  • Quick Links: Shortcuts to frequently used administrative pages such as People, Structure, and Configuration.

Customizing the Dashboard

Site administrators can customize what appears on the dashboard by configuring dashboard blocks. This allows you to tailor the dashboard to your team's specific needs, showing only the information and shortcuts that are most relevant.

From the dashboard, you can quickly navigate to:

  • Content: Manage all content items on your site.

  • Media: Browse, upload, and manage media files.

  • Structure: Access content types, menus, taxonomies, and other structural elements.

  • People: Manage user accounts and roles.

  • Configuration: Adjust site-wide settings.

  • Reports: View site reports and log messages.

The admin navigation sidebar (powered by the Navigation module) is always available for direct access to any section of the administration area.
