User Management
User management in Varbase covers creating, editing, and managing user accounts and their associated roles and permissions. Varbase comes with a set of predefined roles designed to support common editorial workflows.
Overview
Every person who interacts with your Varbase site has a user account (or accesses the site anonymously). User accounts control what actions a person can perform, based on their assigned roles and the permissions granted to those roles.
Default Roles
Varbase defines the following default roles, listed from least to most privileged:
Anonymous: Any visitor who is not logged in. Has view-only access to published content.
Authenticated: Any user who has logged in. Has basic permissions such as viewing their own profile.
Content Editor: Can create and edit content, manage media, and work with drafts. The primary role for editorial staff.
SEO Admin: Manages SEO-related configuration including meta tags, URL aliases, and sitemap settings.
Content Admin: Has broader content management capabilities, including publishing, archiving, and managing content structure.
Site Admin: Can manage most site configuration, users, and structure. Has nearly full administrative access.
Administrator: Unrestricted access to all site functionality. Reserved for technical administrators.

Accessing User Management
Navigate to People in the admin navigation sidebar, or go to
/admin/people.The People page displays a list of all user accounts on the site.
Use the filters to search by name, email, role, or status.
Use the operations column to edit or manage individual accounts.
